Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account data — email address and, if you provide them, a display name and favorite team. Creating an account is optional; free scores, schedules and standings work without one.

Subscription data — your pass tier, status and renewal date. Payments are processed by Stripe on the web at okgridiron.com. We never receive or store card numbers.

Usage data — teams you follow, alert preferences, watchlists, pick'em entries, and aggregate product-interaction analytics.

Device and diagnostic data — crash reports, performance metrics, app version and general device type.

Notification tokens — if you enable alerts, the push endpoint or device token needed to deliver score notifications, and optionally an email address or phone number for email/SMS alerts you request.

Approximate location — only if you use "near me" or directions features, and only in your browser or device at that moment. We do not store background location.

2. How we use your information

To operate your account; deliver score, kickoff and playoff alerts for the teams you follow; unlock premium features for active subscribers; provide directions to stadiums; detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent score reports; measure feature usage in aggregate; and improve reliability and coverage. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.

3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

We process data to perform our contract with you (account, subscription, alerts), on legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, aggregate analytics), with your consent (push notifications, non-essential cookies), and to meet legal obligations (tax, billing records).

4. Who we share it with

Only service providers who help operate GridironOK, each acting on our instructions: our hosting and database provider, our payment processor for billing, our email and SMS delivery providers for alerts you request, and our push notification infrastructure. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of users. We do not share personal data with data brokers or advertisers.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

On the web we use essential cookies to keep you signed in, plus analytics and advertising cookies only after you consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the banner's preferences control. The mobile and Mac apps use local device storage for the same session and preference purposes.

6. Student athlete information

Rosters, statistics, measurables and recruiting information are compiled from publicly available sources and school- or coach-provided information. If you are a student athlete, parent, coach or school official and want information corrected or removed, contact us and we will review and act promptly.

7. Children's privacy

GridironOK is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that a child under 13 created an account, we delete it. Parents or guardians can contact us to request removal.

8. Your choices and rights

You can turn alerts off at any time in profile settings, unfollow teams, revoke notification permission in your device or browser settings, cancel your subscription from the billing portal, and request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated data. California residents may opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share it — and may exercise CCPA/CPRA rights without discrimination.

9. Account and data deletion

To delete your account and associated data, sign in and use the deletion request in your profile settings, or send a request from the support page. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, other than records we must retain for legal, tax or fraud prevention purposes.

10. Retention and security

We keep account data while your account is active and delete or anonymize it after a deletion request. Data is stored with row-level access controls so users can only read their own records, encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest by our hosting provider.

11. International transfers

Our servers and service providers are located in the United States. If you access GridironOK from outside the US, you understand your information will be processed there under this policy.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app and reflected in the "last updated" date above before they take effect.
