How OSSAA standings and tiebreakers work
Only district games count toward the district record that sets playoff seeding. When two or more teams finish level, OSSAA applies these tiebreakers in order:
- Head-to-head result between the tied teams.
- Marginal points in district games, capped at 14 points per game so blowouts cannot inflate a seed.
- Total points allowed in district games.
- Overall regular-season win percentage.
