Week 1 Oklahoma High School Football Scores

Week 1 saw dominant performances in several classes. In Class 6A-I, Edmond Memorial defeated Piedmont 42-15, and Mustang topped Choctaw 27-7. Class 6A-II saw Ponca City shut out Enid 38-0 and Bartlesville beat Skiatook 45-14. Carl Albert won 31-21 over Newcastle in Class 5A, while Coweta posted a high score with a 69-21 win against Wagoner. Bishop Kelley also recorded a shutout, defeating Southmoore 51-0.

Several smaller classes also featured high-scoring contests. Bowlegs started its district play in Class C with a 52-6 victory over Fox. Depew defeated Maud 58-8 in Class B-I, and Caddo posted 66 points against Thackerville, who scored 18. Keota beat Midway 54-6. In Class A-II, Konawa defeated Lexington 84-14, marking one of the highest scores of the week. Wayne also won in Class A-II, beating Crooked Oak 20-6.

Upset wins included Sallisaw’s 20-14 victory over Claremore in Class 4A. Clinton also edged out Chandler 41-35 in a competitive Class 4A matchup. In Class A-I, Morrison defeated Perry 26-12. Stratford secured a close 24-16 win against Wilson. Class 2A-II saw Atoka narrowly defeat Antlers 7-6 in district play, and Newkirk shut out Blackwell 20-0.

Teams that began their seasons undefeated include Cache, Dickson, Shawnee, Bethel, Cascia Hall, Pawhuska, Empire, Elgin, Cushing, Wynnewood, Hartshorne, Maysville, Strother, Okmulgee, Okeene, Guymon, Luther, Plainview, Tuttle, Wilburton, Bishop McGuinness, Purcell, Broken Bow, Hobart, Henryetta, Bridge Creek, Barnsdall, Ketchum, Covington-Douglas, Webbers Falls, Waukomis, Hollis, and Midwest City. Many of these teams won by significant margins, establishing strong starts to their 2024 campaigns.
