NCAA Recruiting Calendar for Oklahoma Prospects

When college coaches can watch, call and visit — mapped to the OSSAA season.

Right now: Evaluation period

Sept. 1 – Nov. 30 — College staff may go off campus to assess a prospect's academic qualifications and playing ability — attending Friday-night games and visiting the high school — but may not make in-person, off-campus contact with the prospect.

What each period means

Quiet period: In-person recruiting contacts are permissible only on the college's own campus. No in-person, off-campus contacts or evaluations may be made.
Dead period: No in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on or off campus, and no official or unofficial visits to campus. Calls and written correspondence are still allowed.
Evaluation period: College staff may go off campus to assess a prospect's academic qualifications and playing ability — attending Friday-night games and visiting the high school — but may not make in-person, off-campus contact with the prospect.
Contact period: College staff may make in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations. This is when coaches come to the school and the home.

The Oklahoma season inside the calendar
