Where do OSSAA scores come from on GridironOK?

Scores are tracked live for every OSSAA program across all 12 classifications. On Friday nights the scoreboard updates quarter by quarter as results come in, and final scores post as soon as games end.

How many OSSAA football classifications are there?

Oklahoma football has 12 classifications: 6A-I, 6A-II, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A-I, 2A-II, A-I and A-II for eleven-man football, B-I and B-II for eight-man, and Class C for six-man. Classes are set by school enrollment and reassigned every two years.

What is the difference between 6A-I and 6A-II?

Class 6A is split into two divisions by enrollment: the largest 16 football schools play in 6A-I and the next 16 in 6A-II. Each division crowns its own state champion, so scores and standings for the two are tracked separately.

How do OSSAA football playoff seedings work?

Playoff spots are decided by district finish. Only district games count toward district standing; district record sets the order, with head-to-head results and point differential breaking ties. Higher seeds host early-round playoff games.

What happens when teams tie in the OSSAA district standings?

Ties are broken first by head-to-head result, then by marginal point differential in district games (capped at 15 points per game), then total district points allowed, and finally overall regular-season win percentage.

When are OSSAA football scores final?

Most games kick off at 7:00 p.m. Central on Fridays and finish around 10:00 p.m. Finals flow into the scoreboard throughout the night, and verified final scores feed the standings and rankings automatically.
